Here we go!!
11 Random Things about me:
1. In my next life, I would like to be an elementary school librarian. I absolutely LOVE children's books. As a kid I used to play "library" and wrote/stamped the inside of many of my books. I'd pretend to scan the binding with a "laser pen" and charge my little sisters late fees for their shameful lack of respect to the almighty due date. Whenever we go to Barnes & Noble, John has to steer me clear of the children's section because I could lose hours there. One of the things I'm most excited about in becoming a mom is the opportunity to read to and with my little boy.
2. I am a total freak for movie soundtracks. I have an entire playlist dedicated to solely this genre on my ipod. Featured are the scores/instrumentals from Braveheart, many of the Harry Potters, the 300, Kingdom of Heaven, the Tudors, etc. I can't get enough. I'm a total geek.
3. When I get clothes home from the store (or anything for that matter), I can't let it sit in the bag. I have to immediately try it on, cut the tags, & put it away. John is the polar opposite and it drives me crazy!! He can buy a new sweater or pair of pants & leave it in the shopping bag somewhere for a week before he gets around to putting it away. Similarly, I also have to unpack immediately when returning home from a vacation or trip. Guess it's a littttle bit OCD of me!!
4. Super secret (borderline-freaky) single behavior: Before I get in the shower, I like to turn the water on & then lay on the bathroom floor & listen to the water flowing. I used to do this as a kid when my mom ran the water for my baths. It's soothing to me.
5. I'm probably one of the pickiest eaters you've ever met. Textures, smells, and number of ingredients strongly dictate whether I will like a particular dish.
6. I love my dog and my cat more than I like most people.
7. I'm madly in love with my husband and feel completely weird and out of place when women at work complain about their 'awful' husbands. They often look to me to join in the bashing and I never know quite what to say.
8. I could listen to Boyz II Men's "II" album on repeat for at least three days.
9. Since becoming pregnant, I've become oddly obsessed with baby/youngster photos of my husband and myself. I guess I'm just trying to figure out what our kid will look like. I'm hoping he gets Daddy's blonde, blonde hair.
10. I'm a believer that Disney World might be the 'happiest place on Earth.' Some of my fondest childhood memories are times spent with my sisters and parents at Disney. We were lucky enough to make the trip south several summers throughout my childhood. Among my favorite memories are watching fireworks on the beach at the Polynesian (indeed the seven seas lagoon beach might be my favorite place on Earth), my parents' love for the 'it's a small world' ride, watching the joy on my sister Amanda's face every time we rode Splash Mountain, seeing Eileen beam with pride as she collected 'autographs' from different Disney characters in her little autograph book, the Spectromagic Parade, my parents cracking up as we tried to recite the spanish directions for the monorail, and many, many more.

11. I miss living in Boston on almost a daily basis. The things I miss the most? The city lights at night, riding the T over the Charles River, walks in the common & the public garden, being constantly surrounded by history, finding something new to do all the time, window shopping on Newbury St, people watching in the Pru, having a million restaurants to choose from, Quincy Market, and long walks with no purpose.
Answers to Hilary's 5 Questions:
1. Biggest guilty pleasure food.
My biggest guilty pleasure food would have to be Entenmman's Crumb Cake. My parents only used to buy it when my grandparents were visiting from FL so it was a special treat. Every once in a while I treat myself (probably more than usual since becoming pregnant LOL!).
2. Embarrassing moment from high school.
When I fell at a friend's graduation party (stone cold sober) into a huge pile of mud, breaking a flip flop in the process.
3. Top 3 places you'd like to travel.
**Ireland
**California
**Anywhere on the Mediterranean Sea
4. Thing that annoys you most on Facebook.
Probably the pressure of accepting/keeping 'friends' that you really don't want to be updated about/have see your stuff but you see them enough that it'd be awkward if you denied/defriended them.
5. Best birthday of your life.
Tough one!! I would have to say a recent one; my 26th was pretty fantastic. My family, John's family, and the Knoxes were all together for a BBQ. Having all my favorite people together is pretty much the best possible way to celebrate!!
TAGS: I tag Tasha. My other bloggess friends Amanda & Hilary have already been tagged or done this. I also send the invite to my my sisters & any other friends who could post in a note via fb.

3. What is your favorite place on Earth?
