Usually the ides are, well, something you're told to "beware of." But they've been pretty good to us. Yesterday was the winter sports awards presentation. I had attended a conference in Albany all day and the awards didn't start until 7pm, with John not scheduled to present until the end. Needless to say, I was up in the air about going, but I decided that I couldn't miss out on seeing the girls get their well-deserved accolades or the wonderful slideshow that
Richard puts together. I also realized that next year I will have a baby boy that I'll be busy with- so I dragged my exhausted 8 months pregnant body to Tri-Valley. I'm glad I went because it was great to see the girls- they were the only team who had full attendance & the only team dressed nicely, like it meant something to them to be there. These girls have truly embraced their motto 'together.' This year John got a purple basketball (which I'm stoked about since it's my favorite color) to add to his pink & blue basketballs from the girls from previous seasons. The best part was that his team got our little man his first basketball & signed it. It was such a sweet gesture & it meant so much to John. They really are a special group of girls.

Another highlight of the week was getting to meet baby Addison tonight!! We brought up some Napoli's & a little gift for Miss Addison Marie. We enjoyed visiting with the Cooks & probably drove them a little nuts with all our having-a-baby questions!! Their little girl is absolutely beautiful. I can't wait for our baby to join her in the outside world. They will be little buddies. It was also awesome to see how wonderful Luke is doing with Addie. Roxy did feel very sad when we got home & she could smell Luke all over us. She misses her buddy.

Due to unusued snow days, I have a FOUR day weekend coming up :) My plan is to finish a few more projects in the nursery, get plenty of rest, & spend lots of quality time with our fur babies- their days of running the house are numbered.
This week baby is the size of a butternut squash?
A few nursery adds:

| bookshelves/storage |
5 more weeks until he's due to arrive :)
