Welcome, March!!

March came in with quite a bang; including a snow-day inducing storm, championship basketball games, and the arrival of Matt & Tasha's little girl, Addison!!

The morning of March 1st, we had four early morning phone calls delaying our two schools & then closing our two schools.  We stayed in bed till about 7:45 and then Roxy needed to go out.  I grabbed my cell phone & was shocked to get the text from Mattie that baby Addison had arrived at 6:30 that morning!!  Shocked not that she was super early; she wasn't- they were due March 10th.  It was just after so much anticipation, it's just crazy that she's here!  She weighed in at 6 lbs, 12.9 oz and 18 1/2 inches long.  We can't wait to meet her once the Cook's get home & settled.  Congratulations Cookies :)

Basketball
John's girls have been winning, winning, winning the past few months.  They finished the regular season 16-1 and co-division champions.  They won in the quarter final & semi final games of sectionals.  They entered the class C championship against a private catholic school famed for recruiting girls from much larger schools.  Coleman's team features a few girls over 6 feet tall & some of the best players in all section 9.  John's goal all season was just to get his chance to play them.  Soooo many fans, families, friends, & community members made the trip to New Paltz to cheer on our girls.  We stayed with them the first quarter but their height, strength, and depth were ultimately just too much for us.  Coleman won & our girls season came to an end.

little girls loving basketball
It's bittersweet to say goodbye to basketball this year.  It's been a wonderful season;  the girls have worked hard and given everything they have.  They finished 18-2 for the season & John is now 36-4 since taking over the Varsity Girls Basketball program at Tri-Valley.  I am so proud of him & his team.

Kevin's girls also had another winning season & were able to bring home the class D section 9 crown!  Congrats to the Lady Wildcats!!

Maroon Monday!!

Baby
We are currently at week 33 of pregnancy, 7 weeks to go if baby comes right on time.  This week baby is the size of a honeydew melon.  He's been rolling and elbowing and stretching like crazy.  I can feel his feet and his little bum through my belly.  John & I have childbirth preparation class coming up the 17th and breastfeeding class on the 20th.  I'm feeling mostly good.  Sleeping through the night is no longer a reality for me but I'm getting enough sleep to function and I catch up when I can.  We are getting so excited & eager for his arrival :o)  Less than 50 days to go now...
Ry is ready to rock the baby!!
And of course, I have to end with a picture of Roxy in her latest dress....

Hope your March is off to a great start!!!
