The Karate Kid

The past two days, I think our baby boy has gone from a green belt to a black belt.  Daniel-son might need to be added to the list of names in contention.  (With the Broncos loss last night, Tim Tebow Tenbus is now off the table.)

His kicks (or punches, or maybe he's even throwin' bows in there) are now very strong & visible from the outside.  Yesterday, I was actually poking him back and was able to feel a body part (assuming a foot, elbow, or fist lol) pushing back which was soooo cool!!  I've tried to catch him on video, but apparently he's got stage fright.  Hopefully I will be able to soon.

Also blowing my mind right now is that now at 26 weeks, baby's eyes are open!  What exactly he's able to see inside his dark little bubble of amniotic fluid, who knows, but it's still crazy to think of all that's going on inside my body.  He's got eyelashes, toenails, and the hair on his head is starting to fill in.  He's able to sense the difference between right side up & upside down.  Soon he'll be 'practice breathing' his amniotic fluid- uh that's kind of gross.  Also a little funky is that my uterus is now the size of a soccer ball & has squished all my intestines both large & small north into my upper abdomen.  Wild.  Pregnancy really is amazing and bizarre.
