John's Birthday Weekend

John turned 32 Sunday & our weekend was pretttty much dedicated to celebrating with both our families.  Friday night we had the second of two league basketball games wayyy down in orange county.  John's Tri-Valley girls took on Chester, a team very well stacked with talent & height.  It was an incredibly close game that was probably not good for my blood pressure or my uterus but they managed to pull out a victory.  My Uncle Terry met me there & we had a good time cheering/screaming/jumping up & down.
TV vs. Chester
Saturday we slept in (heavenly) and then attended Amanda's basketball game where her 7th grade Tri-Valley girls hosted Eldred.  Unfortunately for us, Eldred's team was a true modified team and had 8th graders on it as well, so they easily beat our young team.  Saturday evening, we headed to The White Sulfur Springs Inn for drinks & dinner with my family.  They were so great to us there & had birthday napkins/confetti waiting at our table.  The best part of the night was probably my mom kicking Amanda's ass in darts.
After only a couple turns, my mom on top!!

Sunday, we had a delicious brunch with John's parents.  I made chocolate chip pancakes, eggs, bacon, & fruit salad.  We all stuffed ourselves & Margy and Terry got to see how we've changed the layout of our house to prepare for the baby.  Speaking of baby, we hit 25 weeks this week & baby is now the size of an eggplant:
We are now only 102 days away from our estimated due date.  On John's next birthday, he will have a baby boy to celebrate with :)  Maybe he will look like this?
Margy & John circa....1981-2ish?
It's safe to say I have an unhealthy addiction to John's baby pictures.
He & Jess were sooooo cute!!

We also worked a little on nursery planning this weekend.  We are going to do a combination of two of our favorite things- dogs & sports.  The "Team Snoopy" bedding set & accessories are the perfect fit!!  We are registered for all the Team Snoopy goodies at Buy Buy Baby.  Here's the general gist of what the nursery will look like:

So far we've got a few cans of paint, some brushes, a snoopy doll & a dream:
