Get Closer '11: Keith Urban!!

My love affair with Keith Urban's music began many moons ago, when his first single, "Your Everything" came out circa 1999.  Since then I've bought every album and loved nearly every song.  His music has been a constant in my life; in times of both happiness and sorrow.  My senior year of college, Amanda Sue, Amanda Grace, & I drove to Rochester for our very first Keith Urban concert.  We. had. a. BLAST!  He is a phenomenal entertainer.  He often comes off the stage and wanders around in the crowd.  He gives away guitars.  He pulls people up on stage to sing with him.  He sings for 2 plus hours and speaks genuinely, thanking people for buying tickets in tough economic times & traveling to see him.  Over the years, I've seen Keith every time he's come to upstate New York, twice in Rochester & twice in Albany.  He has had great opening acts like Little Big Town, Sugarland, and most recently Jake Owen.  I've always had amazing time and count those nights among some of the best of my life.

Saturday we traveled up to Albany a few hours before the concert to pick up our tickets at the box office.  We had a meal & drinks at a dive across the street from the Times Union Center.  We waited outside in the heat for what seemed like forever & then finally got indoors around 6:30.  Jake Owen came on at 7:30 and sang for about 45 minutes.  Keith came on around 9 & we weren't out of there until after 11.  Our seats were 9 rows from the main stage & 2 rows from the middle stage where Keith came out to sing 3 songs "amongst" the floor crowd.  He put on yet another phenomenal show.  I had so much fun with my sisters & John.  (I know he enjoyed himself because he's been playing Keith music non-stop since we've gotten home.)

Here's some videos from the show:
