My First Mothers Day

It didn't even occur to me while I was pregnant that within a few weeks of becoming a mom, I would get to celebrate my first mothers day.  Our families made it a very special weekend for me.

Saturday, we went to Narrowsburg to see Margy for mothers day.  Poor Mason can't seem to get past the hour drive to get there & has yet to be awake for one of our visits!  He slept through a walk up & down the Tenbus' driveway, a breezy afternoon on the back porch, & visits from Aunt Pat and the Kelly's.  He only woke up for a few minutes to be changed & eat, then fell right back to sleep.  Even though he was a sleepy boy, Margy still enjoyed lots of snuggle time with her grandson.

Sunday, I woke up with my sweet little boy & John brought down a card 'from Mason.'  So sweet.  We relaxed that morning & then we enjoyed the day with my mom & family.  Again, Mason slept quite a while (he seems to enjoy the late afternoon for his longggg nap).  My parents and sisters spoiled me with beautiful cards & gifts.  Mason also had a card & gifts for me at my parents house.  Apparently he is quite the culinary wiz- at the ripe old age of 2 1/2 weeks he made me "I love you Mom" cookies!!  Haha.  It was such a special day that I'll always remember.
