.....One Thousand (Yes as in Quadruple Digits)

I couldn't let this moment pass without saying my piece.

Jakki Pugh has made history.  She is the first Tri-Valley girls basketball player to score 1,000 (plus) points.  She started the season 258 points away from this milestone.  She's played intense basketball; she works hard both offensively and defensively.  My favorite thing about Jakki her "team first" mentality.  Over the years I've seen many talented kids who let it go to their head.  They become ball hogs and prance around like they're Michael Jordan.  Jakki is totally different, a truly selfless player.  She is out to do what's best for the team in order to win.  She's respectful and dedicated.  Her college team will be lucky to have her.

It's been an intense and winning season so far for the Lady Bears.  I know I was surprised at the success this team of mostly jv-aged girls has been able to achieve.  Led by Jakki, these young girls have really stepped up in a big way to play at the varsity level.  The team is now 12-1, 4-0 in the league.

Congratulations Jakki & TV girls, we couldn't be more proud.
