After the shops, we tried the new Grimaldi's on main street. Now as an avid pizza lover and someone who's been to the original brooklyn-pizza-heaven, I had my doubts as to weather this Grimaldi's would live up to the original. I was pleasantly surprised; the pizza was delicious! It tasted the same as I remember the original. Eileen loved it as well. We then picked up some stuff for facials & went back to her apartment in Highland. Before turning her 1 bedroom place into a makeshift spa, I decided it was high time I met her landlord's dogs :) We spent a good 20 minutes chasing Duke, the near 100 pound chocolate lab, and Maxima, a white husky with brilliant blue eyes, around the yard. Despite Duke's size he was playful as a pup and sweet beyond words. He covered me in kisses and slobber and my heart melted into mush. After cleaning up and fixing up some goodies for our sweet tooth, Eileen and I proceeded to put on our avocado oatmeal masques and enjoy a good chick flick.
I had a great day with her and was sad to leave. Luckily, I headed straight from there to Liberty to hit up happy hour with Amanda and some TV friends. I enjoyed catching up with Ellie and hearing all about how great her new new pup Tuck is doing. We're hoping to get together for some doggie playdates soon. The night ended with picking up my Roxylove & heading to 31 Little Hollow for a quiet night in front of the fire with my parents (John was out scouting).
Today, John caught up on some sleep after practice and I spent the day doing laundry, cleaning the kitchen, and rotting in front of the television watching sex & the city re-runs with a pet nuzzled on each side.
Needless to say it's been a great couple of days...I feel so blessed to have such wonderful people and animals in my life. =)
