You are 11 weeks old and we are loving watching you grow, change, and discover the world around you. Here is what you've been up to lately:
~*~Gabbin'. You LOVE to vocalize. You love the sound of your own voice. You've been cooing and squealing with delight; at people and at some interactive toys/objects. You love to lay in your crib and squeal at your mobile as it spins & sings to you. You are turn-taking in cooing exchanges with anyone who will talk to you.
~*~Smilin'. Your smiles used to be reflexive expressions that tended to pair with passing gas, pooping, or burping. But lately your face has started to light up into the cutest smiles when people smile at you, make funny noises, or funny faces.
~*~Growin'. Baby boy you are packing on the lbs like a wrestler trying to make a heftier weight class. You eat like a champ and at 2 1/2 months old have grown out of your 3 month clothing & are fitting comfortably in 6 month clothing. At your 2 month appointment, you were 14.3lbs and 24 5/8 " long.
~*~Watchin'. Roxy, light, shadows, people, books, TV, you love following it all with your eyes.
~*~Graspin' and/or Reachin'. You recently grasped a toy for the first time. It was a string of bright colored rings that I was dangling in front of you. You often try to grab things but you are still too much of a flail-er to grab most things and/or hold on for too long.
~*~Tummy Timin'. You. hate. this. I try to put you on your tummy a few minutes everyday. It's one of the few things you fuss about. But it's important for you to build your neck muscles to hold up your head.
So little one, you've been a busy guy. You are thriving. You are loved by so many family & friends but none more than your mommy & your daddy. We can't wait to see what adventures lie ahead for our little family.
