Yeah so going back to work in June?? Didn't happen. I decided as June crept closer that I wasn't going to be ready to go back to work after only 5 weeks home with Mase. So I put in to extend my leave & the wonderful administration & board at Liberty accepted my request with no problems. The current sub they had for me could not stay; so they hired my sister Eileen to finish up the year for me. It worked out perfectly. I honestly don't know how I would have left him. So in the end, I get 4+ months home with our little guy. Of course, come September I will be wishing for even more; but I consider myself pretty blessed to be able to have this much time!
So...what have we been up to?? Oh ya know, squeeling, grunting, smiling, kicking, and EATING!! Mason is turning into a more alert, rolly-polly, older-newborn. He is 7 1/2 weeks old and we are having a blast spending time with him. We've taken him on a few quick trips to Target, lots of walks, and countless visits with both sets of grandparents. He also got to meet his Great Aunt Mary; who will be back in another week or so to stay for a week with my parents.
He recently enjoyed spending time with both grandpas and daddy for fathers day weekend.
