Fall....oh no wait, summer's back....nope Fall

I don't know about anyone else...but I can't keep up with the weather patterns in the catskills this September.  This week temperatures started out in the low 50s to 60s, were up to the 80's by Thursday and Friday, and then today returned to more cool, crisp weather.  It makes it incredibly hard to plan outfits.  The foliage here has really started to change and I've found myself "ooooooh"ing and "aaaaah"ing all over sullivan/ulster counties.  As beautiful as it is down here, it only makes me long for another fall time visit to coastal Maine where fall and foliage are paired with the beauty of the ocean.  Hopefully, I'll get to see some Maine foliage next fall for George & Amanda's wedding.
Here are some pics I snapped while driving around the area this weekend.

This week we could be found at several sports events around the area.  Wednesday night we attended a Tri-Valley Varsity Girls Soccer game to show support for some of John's basketball players.  When we left the house it was chilly and clouds were ominously twirling overhead, so I wore jeans & a hoodie....by the time we got to Fallsburg's soccer field (a whopping 5 miles from our home), it was sunny and 75 degrees.  Even though I was sweating, I enjoyed the game & the girls took home a nice win.  Friday found us at Roscoe for some "friday night lights" football.  I love watching Greg, Conor, & Joey (all boys I used to babysit for) play football.  We went to the game with my good friend and former music teacher, Kevin.  Riley really loves him, as you can see.

Greg on the sidelines at his game.  He got to QB in the second half, and they ended up coming home with their first win!!

Saturday was a beautiful day...a little warm for fall, but we weren't complaining.  Roxy, John, & I enjoyed some fun outside in the back yard.  John & I were scheming as to what we could do to our front and side stoops to enhance our curb appeal.  We're thinking we need a consult with our outdoor-decor-genius friend, Hilary Flagg '05.  Here's a few of us enjoying the day:

Riley got up in the window sill to enjoy some fresh air too.

Sunday we headed over to ulster county to see Brandon, my friend Tanya's son, play soccer.  He's got quite the little left foot.  Eileen was able to meet us for lunch at Subway and then we all went to the game.  It was great to see her.

All in all it was a great week.  I'm hoping that fall is finally here and this week temperatures are forecasted to be more seasonally appropriate.  Also, Happy 6 month birthday to my little Maine love, Miss Natalie!!
