Mr. & Mrs. George Knox ((AKA weekend assault on my tear ducts))

It's official.  George & Amanda have tied the knot.  I don't even know where to begin to describe all the wonderful events of the weekend.

I guess I should start with how fabulous it was to be back in Northern Maine again.  I enjoyed seeing the countryside during harvest season.  I have now hit Aroostock County in every season of the year :)  It was John's first trip to the county and it was really great to see him experience it for the first time.  Unfortunately, it was my 5th trip and I STILL didn't see a moose!!

Ok more importantly- the wedding!!  Friday we rehearsed at the church & then had dinner with the bridal party at Cafe Sorpresso.  It was delicious & we had a wonderful time visiting with George's family, Amanda's family, & the bridesmaids :)  We attended quite the after party hosted by Grandpa & Grandma Knox...we ended up getting shut down because of noise & had to move down into the hotel lobby bar.  Those Knoxes sure do know how to party.  Friday night Amanda & I had a sleepover in her hotel room.  We relaxed, reminisced, & marveled at how quickly her big day had arrived.  We got to bed but were up at 4AM & could not sleep anymore because we were too excited!!  The rest of the bridesmaids arrived at 9AM and we spent Saturday morning/early afternoon getting our hair done and enjoying music & mimosas.  The limo arrived at 3 & it was time to go get married!!

The ceremony flew right by complete with a beautiful solo sung by Amanda's dad.  I was a weeping mess throughout the entire thing.  After the ceremony, we drove up into a pretty field & took a bunch of photos.  We were sinking in the mud & getting eaten alive by mosquitoes but I'm sure the final product will be worth it!!  The reception started at 6 & we had a blast!!  The food was yummy, the dances were sweet, & I loved visiting with Amanda's family & friends.  It was so great to see everyone again.  It was especially awesome to have my family there.  The whole weekend flew by in a flash & I could not stop crying.  George & Amanda are so happy and in love and I couldn't be happier for them.  I can't wait until Christmas time to see the Knoxes again :)
