Hey, June

Recently
Time sure is flying.  I feel like it was just memorial day weekend and boom- we're already looking at the last week of the school year!!  The weather has been so unpredictable; one week it's rainy and chilly and then the following week it's 90 and sunny.  It's sure been difficult to dress.  Summer is now only a couple of days away.  We recently had our annual summer kick-off with Tanya & Dean.  The bullfrogs were flowing & yes, the wiffleball was flying all over Jones Terrace.  We always have such a great time with them.  We're hoping with less places to run this summer, we'll get to see them more often.  The next day we headed to the city with some TV friends for a Yankee Game.  I had a blast with little Macy's play-by-play analysis of the game.  The second-grader had some decent arguments.  Despite the nearly 30 year age difference, she's convinced she will marry Derek Jeter.

Running my a$$ off...literally, well, I'm trying to!
10 pounds down and running 4-5 times a week.  I've been mostly running on the treadmill but this Saturday Dana & I had a great time at the R4 Rhulen Rock Hill Run & Ramble.  It was a wonderful event that raised $69,000 for Leukemia/Lymphoma Societies and I saw lots of friends and family there.  Dana isn't a runner so we mostly walked it- (she was a good sport & let us jog a few times).  We finished in 44:45.  Not too bad.

Bridal Shower Fun
Jill & I have been busy little bees with planning Amanda's special day.  We spent Saturday afternoon shopping & scheming details of the day.  I'm really looking forward to all the wedding events coming up for George and Amanda.  They are such a special couple who are loved by so many.  I wish I could share the details but I will post photos after we have the shower!

Dads Rock!
This weekend we took some time to spend time with the very special fathers in our lives.  John took off Friday night to head to Wilkes Barre with his dad.  John & his dad did a golf tournament with John's brother-in-law Frank.  It was nice time for them to spend together.  Today we went to my parents house to barbeque and celebrate with my dad.  Happy Fathers Day to all the wonderful Dads out there :)

To all the teachers out there, enjoy these last few days of school!!  This is the time of year that I get giddy with my career choice.

Summer '11: Graduation parties, weddings, bridal showers, bachelorette partying in Maine, family reunions, oh my!!  I've been really horrible about taking photos lately, I'm going to make sure to get lots of photos of all our upcoming events.  Mazel Tov!!  (I'm getting in the spirit of a Woodbourne summer!)
